Bikepacking the Midwest
Spanning across Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota is roughly 650 miles of forest, lakes, and winding trails known as the North Woods. It’s the kind of place where most folks don’t expect to see anyone on a bicycle. But that didn’t stop a posse of Midwestern boys from deciding to do it.

They set out in search of a good old-fashioned adventure through a part of the country that often gets overlooked. Long stretches of trail, quiet backroads, and dense forest carried them north until they reached the shore of Lake Superior. From there, they ferried across to Isle Royale for a pit stop before making their way back toward where the trip began.

Along the way there were a few repairs, plenty of good times, and the kind of moments that make a trip like this worth it. By the end of it all, it’s safe to say the North Woods treated them kindly.
The trip ends here, but something tells us they’ll find their way back up to these parts soon enough.
