Breathable & lightweight for when you need it most

A tribute to early 20th-century cowboy hats, the newly updated Longhorn Straw is built for warm weather with a timeless Western profile. Crafted from 4X natural ventilated straw, it offers durability, breathability, and all-day comfort. The 4 1/2" crown and 4" Western Flange brim give it a sharp, structured look, while the two-cord ribbon hatband and custom Seager pin add the finishing touches. Finished with a DriLex® sweatband with Seager branding, it’s made to stay comfortable through it all.

1. How should a cowboy hat fit?
-A hat should fit snugly, but not too tight- just comfortably enough to where it’s not squeezing. A properly fitting hat won’t slide around when you move your head, but also shouldn’t leave a deep mark on your forehead. If your hat feels too loose, you can use a hat spacer to adjust the fit.

2. What’s the best way to store a cowboy hat?
-To maintain its shape, store your hat upside down on its crown or on a hat rack. Keeping it on its brim can cause warping over time. If storing long-term, keep your Seager hat box to protect it from dust, moisture, and direct sunlight, which can cause fading and damage to the material.

3. What does the "X" rating mean on hats?
-The "X" rating is a traditional measure of a hat's quality, particularly for felt hats. Generally, a higher X rating generally indicates a higher percentage of fur in the felt blend, making the hat more durable, softer, and water-resistant. For straw hats, the X rating typically refers to the tightness of the weave and the overall quality of the material.

4. How do I measure my head for the right hat size?
-To measure your head, use a flexible measuring tape and wrap it around the widest part of your head, about 1 inch above your eyebrows and ears. Make sure it’s snug but not too tight. Compare your measurement to our hat size chart to find the best fit. If you’re between sizes, it's usually best to size up and use a hat spacer for a more customized fit.

    The BEST hat!

I have been eyeing this straw cowboy hat forever and it was on sale so I pulled the trigger and bought it. They only had a small left and it fits perfectly. I absolutely love it. Well made, sturdy, beautiful! Super fast shipping and the box it came in was so sturdy. Super happy with my purchase! Cannot wait to wear it this summer!
